Thank you so much Carol. Great work!

At least now everyone knows that the injury Rodin sustained vs Calgary is the sole reason why Willy felt it wasn't worth playing the young forward the other night. Management and coaching staff often don't release information about player injuries, so perhaps they knew about his knee right after the Calgary game but chose to use "13th forward, no need to give him limited ice time after not playing the first bit" just to cover up.

JV needs to spend a couple of seasons in the minors learning how to play and how to eat and workout and be a professional. Should probably bring in some veteran AHL'rs to guide him in addition to what coach Green is doing.

Also, having lost 3 straight, slick Willie should make a change to shake things up for Nashville to try and spark something. Get some hungry guy like Boucher in there...

Too bad Rodin just can't catch a break in terms of health. I read his knee pad slipped and that's how ended up with a bruised knee that's still wobbly or not right...

from the last blog. I think Canucks have to keep Baert, Granola, and Trauma. those guys are coming along quite nicely.

I'm glad we can put that to rest. People were pretty judgemental over Megna not being pulled for Rodin. "The Love Affair".

You mean Willie knows some stuff that we dont?! As bad as I feel for Rodin, I'm kinda glad the leaders of the WD hate tirade over the Megna/Rodin deployment is stuck with a little egg on their faces today

The real question is do they see the egg on their face?

Thanks Carol. Although I agree the whole "save Rodin" narrative was ridiculous, Willie needs to sub in spares like Boucher. The team generated almost no offense last game so why not try and add a spark? Remember how well benching Bae worked? Who cares if Chaput or Magma is in the lineup...

Only if they are born with it, but I suspect its just a speed bump in their efforts to run him out of town

Don I think you are right, why not play him to produce a spark. Listenin to Bo's words on boucher he sounds like he has talent. But you gotta wonder why he was waived too. JB has found some gems though so lets be optimistic. Looking forward to seeing what we have here.

They should have played Boucher against the Devels. I think most agree on that.

How could there possibly be outrage over a Megna/Rodin deployment?

It's so (frank)ing irrelevant to the big picture.

What the (frank) are we trying to do here? I thought we were getting to a point where we all agreed that the canucks need to get better. We just have different ideas on how that is going to be done.

Megna or Rodin has no possible impact on the progression of this team. At this point in the restructuring timeline those players are interchangeable, doesn't matter the name or number on the back of the jersey. It's about positional impact and these players (like most on this roster) have very little to offer.

We are going to see a lot of these types of players over the next three years so let’s hope folks don’t get too worked up about it.

You have about 80% here saying the exact same thing as you. Then you have this 20% that just beat the living poop out of it all day every day. People have been on the edge of hostility because they are sick of it.

But hey, it's just a difference of opinion.

No, what I'm saying is that you don't have to keep firing back.

If you're sick of it just do one of these...

So why did you feel you had to make a three paragraph post about it?

I can't say I feel like having the Hutton/Guddy pairing injured is hurting us much right now. Biega is pretty iffy but with his limited ice time, we are seeing fewer firesales in our own end.

Whatever gives Tryamkin more ice time I am ok with!

EDIT - I wish Tryamkin and Sbisa would switch

Agreed, some people need to realize that as long as they are going to try to be competitive (which is for the Sedin duration, and then I bet it will be for All Star Horvat), these random pick ups will not get the tryouts that the rebuilding/tanking teams usually give.

The players that play will pay their dues and reach a level of both conditioning and understanding of the team's style before they get put into game action

EDIT: as for the first part, yeah there has been pages and pages of outrage over how much icetime Megna gets on the PP vs Horvat, or how he was played with the Sedins, all while Rodin wasnt playing. Neither will change the outcome of the season much, but people want a look at him (which I do understand)

I wish they would play with 5 D instead of using Biega
